Police have charged a North Dandalup man allegedly carrying a loaded rifle and driving around drunk in Perth's southern suburbs.
Police were called to a property on Allen Road in Forrestdale at about 3am on Saturday following reports a man was outside with a gun before driving off in a white Nissan Navara utility.
Soon after the same man was seen at a service station on Nicholson Road.
Police then located the ute in Gosnells where the man arrested and a rifle with ammunition was seized from the vehicle.
The 42-year-old was subjected to a breath test where it will be alleged he recorded a reading over twice the legal limit.
The man from North Dandalup was charged with possess a firearm whilst intoxicated and excess 0.08.
He will appear in Armadale Magistrates Court on October 13.
