A Peel region father will never complain about shopping with his partner again, after taking home a $4 million Division One win in last month’s $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.
The ticket holder said he purchased the ticket from Nextra Forum West Newsagency in Mandurah, after being unwillingly dragged to the shops by his partner.
“I saw that there was a Mandurah winner on social media in the morning, and joked with my partner all day saying, ‘imagine if that was us’,” the winner revealed.
“When I checked my ticket that afternoon and found out that we’d actually won, I was in disbelief.”
Once confirming the win, the ticket holder admitted to jumping straight in the car and driving to Lotterywest HQ to claim the prize.
Lotterywest spokesperson Emma Rogers said this news comes ahead of another $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw this weekend.
“Last month’s Superdraw created three WA winning tickets, and as the game that produces the most Division One winners in our State, we’d love to see a similar result in tonight’s draw,” she said.
“It would be fantastic for another West Aussie dad to wake up to news of a win, especially with Father’s Day tomorrow."
