UPDATE: Police have confirmed a man died in the crash.

Emergency services are on the scene of a three-car crash in Wagerup.

It is understood the cars collided at the intersection of the South Western Highway and Willowdale Road around 6.40am on Tuesday.

One occupant was trapped and had to be cut from their vehicle.

It is believed they have suffered serious injuries.

Two occupants from the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.

St John Ambulance, Police and DFES are on the scene.
