A man in his 30s is recovering in hospital following a brutal attack by a group of men in Byford overnight.
Police were called to the scene on Kardan Boulevard about 6.25pm, with an initial report indicating a man had been hit by a car.
It's understood a group of men had instead attacked the victim, leaving him with serious injuries.

The man was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital after he was discovered by a member of the public lying on the side of the road.
Police believe the people involved in this incident are known to each other.
