A car has rammed through Mandurah Police station security gates after officers saw a vehicle in the compound.
Mandurah Detectives are investigating an incident which occurred early Thursday morning.
At 5:30am a Ford sedan has driven into the compound of Mandurah Police Station on Pinjarra Road.
When police officers saw the vehicle in the compound the vehicle tried to exit and has crashed through the security gate as it closed.
The incident caused damage to the gate.
The vehicle has then driven on the front lawn area before driving down the foot path and left the area.
A short time later the vehicle was located.
A 40 year old man has been charged with trespassing, criminal damage and reckless driving.
He will appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court today on Thursday.
