A young child has been bitten on the face by a dog as she walked to a park in Waikiki with her dad to celebrate Father’s Day.
Paige was just metres from her home when the dog attacked on Sunday afternoon.
The 10-year-old told Seven News she spotted the three-legged dog and asked for permission to pat the animal first.
After the person walking the dog said it was ok, Paige knelt down to pat the dog before it latched onto her face.
“It felt like I got bitten by like something that was big and it makes me really scared,” she told Seven News..
“It makes me not want to pat dogs.”
