Three young boys have been charged over the alleged assault of a family in Rockingham.
Police say the family were fishing off the Palm Beach Jetty around 9pm on Sunday, May 4 when they were allegedly set upon by the trio.
"Police are further investigating reports that a group of juveniles of a similar description were seen in the area a short time later behaving in a disorderly manner," a WA Police spokesperson said.
A 14-year-old boy from Shoalwater has been charged with two counts of common assault in circumstances of aggravation or racial aggravation, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault.
He appeared in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on May 5.
A 14-year-old boy from Medina has been charged with stealing, three counts of common assault in circumstances of aggravation or racial aggravation and common assault.
He is due to appear before the Rockingham Children’s Court on May 29.
An 11-year-old boy from Rockingham has been charged with stealing, three counts of common assault in circumstances of aggravation or racial aggravation and common assault.
He is also due to appear before the Rockingham Children’s Court on May 29.
